With the 2013 Sundance Film Festival around the corner, this collection of 10 short films from the 2012 edition is a reminder that some of the festival's most satisfying movies are the shorts.
The highlights include: Cutter Hodierne's Somali pirates drama "Fishing Without Nets"; Aussie director Nash Edgerton's biting comedy "Bear" (a sequel to his previous prankster short, "Spider"); Drew Christie's informative animated man-vs.-whale discussion "Song of the Spindle"; and the deadpan teen comedy "The Arm."
There are always a few clunkers in a collection like this, but the batting average is still pretty high.
