The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.
Product • Dream On Me Bath Seats, sold at small retail stores and online retailers, including Amazon.com and Wayfair.com, from July 2012 through September 2012 for $25 to $40.
Problem • The bath seats fail to meet federal safety standards, including the requirements for stability. Specifically, the bath seats can tip over, posing a risk of drowning to babies. Consumers should stop using the recalled bath seats immediately. Dream On Me is offering a free replacement bathtub to consumers. Vehicle • BMW X5 SUV, 2009-2012
Problem • The engine belt idler pulley bolt could loosen and break over time. If the engine belt idler pulley bolt breaks, the vehicle may unexpectedly lose power-assisted steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
