As a senior at Bingham High School, I have many worries that keep me up at night: homework, studying, tests, a social life. All of these worries push aside other important things that I should be most concerned with, including: Am I really prepared for a disaster?
The recent supposed ending of the world reminded me that I am in no way prepared for a disaster. If any such event should happen, my family has little food stored and we have no real plan in case of an emergency.
No one knows when something bad will happen. All of us need to prepare for an emergency. Have three months' worth of food and water stored, develop an effective emergency plan and inform others of it.
Let us all prepare for the worst.
