Last week it was reported that gun owners in Los Angeles were turning their guns in to law officers ("Los Angeles police collect 1,500 guns in buyback," Tribune, Dec. 28). At the same time, citizens in Utah were lining up at an accelerated rate to buy more weapons.
There is definitely something wrong with this picture.
