The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce has selected former Brigham Young University football coach LaVell Edwards, his wife, Patti, and the late Stephen R. Covey as its Pillar of the Valley Award recipients for 2013.

They will be honored March 29 at the group's third annual gala, presented at the new Utah Valley Convention Center.

"There are no bigger names in Utah Valley than LaVell and Patti Edwards, and Stephen R. Covey," said Val Hale, president of the Utah Valley Chamber. "They have been pillars in our community for many, many years. The chamber is pleased and excited to honor them at our showcase event."

Covey and LaVell and Patti Edwards join previous Pillar winners Nu Skin Founder Blake Roney and Alan and Karen Ashton. A permanent recognition wall featuring each of the recipients will be unveiled in the new convention center the night of the gala.
