Weber County sheriff's deputies are looking for whoever robbed and stabbed a woman as she left her doctor's office.

The 35-year-old woman walked out of the office near 5350 S. Adams Avenue in Washington Terrace, when a man approached her about 1:45 p.m. The suspect reportedly stole some jewelry from her and then stabbed her in the abdomen with a knife before taking off, said Weber County sheriff's Lt. Mark Lowther.

The woman was taken to Ogden Regional Medical Center — which is right by the office — and is expected to recover. Investigators also located some of her stolen jewelry near her car, Lowther said.

The suspect is described as 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 6 inches, and was wearing dark clothing, including a dark-colored hoodie.
