golf • Dustin Johnson ended a windy week with a wild ride Tuesday that carried him to the first win of the PGA Tour season. Despite hitting two drives into native areas that cost him three shots, Johnson never lost the lead at Kapalua, Hawaii. He closed with a 5-under 68 for a four-shot victory in the weather-delayed Tournament of Champions. Johnson finished at 16-under 203, and Steve Stricker finished second after closing with a 69.

Armstrong camp faces more claims

Cycling • The chief of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency tells "60 Minutes Sports" that a representative for Lance Armstrong offered the agency a "donation" in excess of $150,000 several years before a USADA investigation led to Armstrong being stripped of seven Tour de France titles.

In an interview on the show's premiere airing Wednesday on Showtime, USADA CEO Travis Tygart said he was "stunned" when he received the offer in 2004.

"It was a clear conflict of interest for USADA," Tygart said. "We had no hesitation in rejecting that offer."

Armstrong's attorney, Tim Herman, denied such an offer was made.

BCS officials set playoff rotation

college football • The first semifinal games in the new college football playoff system will be played in the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 2015. The BCS conference commissioners announced the dates and rotation for all 12 years of the upcoming postseason format after a meeting in Key Biscayne, Fla., on Monday, the day after the BCS championship game in Miami.

Whether they are hosting a semifinal or just a marquee bowl game, the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl will always be played on Jan. 1, or Jan. 2 in years in which New Year's Day falls on a Sunday. In the eight years in which the Rose and Sugar do not host the semifinals, the four playoff teams will kick off on New Year's Eve or Saturday, Dec. 30.
