Some people want to outlaw guns.

My wife was killed 10 years ago by two young men racing in West Valley City — so outlaw automobiles.

Three thousand people died from food-borne illnesses last year ("FDA offers sweeping new food safety rules," Tribune, Jan. 4) — so outlaw food.

Outlaw high-fructose corn syrup, tobacco, matches, lighters, knives, baseball bats, rope, etc.

Each person is shocked and sorry to lose loved ones through no fault of their own.
