A chilly new resident has rolled into one Utah neighborhood.

Family members say they made the most of a weeklong snowstorm to build a 30-foot snowman in the backyard of Harvey and Darlene Gardner's home in Orem.

Todd Roeller tells the Daily Herald he, his three sons, and their cousins spend a week roaming the neighborhood clearing parking lots and sidewalks to gather snow.

They say they called in a high-rise forklift to finish off the top of the snowman, which is wearing a painted refrigerator box as a hat and a massive felt scarf.

The newspaper reports the snowman construction crew members have left for home or college, but plenty of visitors have been stopping by the Gardners' house to take pictures of the creation.
