Donation for schools • Lakeview Hospital has donated $12,423 raised at its Midnight Madness all-night softball tournament to the Davis Education Foundation. The money will be used in the upcoming year to support a decathlon; buy physical education and health equipment, including hygiene kits; and fund a pedometer program designed to improve students' physical fitness.

Ogden

Family fun on the ice • Layton City Family Recreation is hosting an ice skating night 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at The Ice Sheet, 4390 Harrison Blvd. (the northwest corner of the Dee Events Center parking lot), in Ogden. Admission is free and skate rental is $1 per person. Refreshments will be provided. Call 801-336-3900 for more information.
