PARK CITY - The Utah Film Commission, the part of the Governor's Office of Economic Development that tries to woo filmmaking to the Beehive State, has set up shop at the Sundance Film Festival for more than a week. Their goal is to entice more filmmakers to shoot here, which can give producers a fairly substantial tax break if they do.

Executive director Marshall Moore said Friday that Hollywood actor Thomas Jane ("The Punisher," "Boogie Nights") is set to shoot a new movie in Utah this summer. It's a western, Moore said, which is kind of a hot genre right now after Quentin Tarantino's hit, "Django Unchained."

But don't expect Jane's new movie to be as hyper violent at "Django." After all, in order for filmmakers to get a tax break here, their script has to be approved by a state committee.
