If hosting a big Super Bowl party or slaving over dip recipes isn't your thing, local sports bars are happy to do all the work so you can enjoy Sunday's big game. Here are five places we think are winners. No matter where you go, the best seats go to those who arrive several hours before kickoff.

The Point After Sports Bar • 5445 S. 900 East, Murray; 801-266-9552 or pointafterslc.com. Open Monday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–1 a.m.

Details • An outdoor fire pit, four pool tables, dartboards and a friendly staff are enough to make this Murray bar a great pick. But it's the 32 televisions — the most that we encountered on our sports bar crawl — that make it a must-try. The menu includes barbecue options from the in-house smoker as well as hand-cut fries or homemade chips.

Game-day specials • Activities include prize giveaways and samples of the new Budweiser Black Crown beer.

Lumpy's Downtown • 145 Pierpont Ave., Salt Lake City; 801-883-8714 or lumpysdowntownslc.com. Open 11 a.m. – 2 a.m.

Details • Lumpy's Downtown boasts large televisions all over the bar, five ceiling-to-floor projectors and three levels of seating. Arrive early and you might be able to snag one of the more intimate booths on the main level, each one with its own flat-screen television.

Game-day specials • $4 stein of Bud Light.

The Huddle • 2400 Fort Union Blvd. (7200 South), Sandy; 801-438-8300 or skisaltlake.com/thehuddle.htm. Open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Details • This bar has 26 flat-screen televisions, a nice patio with heaters, nightly food specials and plenty of beer options.

Game-day specials • $2.50 pints of Bud, Bud Light and Shock Top; $3 shots of Jägermeister; and 35-cent hot wings.

Batter's Up • 1717 S. Main St., Salt Lake City; 801-463-4996 or battersupsportsbar.com. Open Monday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–2 a.m.

Details • An incredibly spacious bar with sports paraphernalia, a stage for karaoke, a private room for serious pool players and a drink menu with curious names like the Tic Tac. On regular days, the bar is home to competitive pool players who come in from Las Vegas to practice their craft. Spectators can watch these tournaments from a distance. There's also a serious pool league that requires auditions to participate.

Game-day specials • Stop in anytime before the kickoff on Sunday to enter your name into a drawing for a 52-inch flat-screen TV. The winner must be present on Sunday to claim the prize.

The Puck • 3396 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City; 801-975-7825 (PUCK) or thepuck.org. Open 11 a.m.–1 a.m.

Details • You don't have to be a hockey fan to enjoy the high ceilings and spacious atmosphere at The Puck, which recently added more televisions. Now sports fans can enjoy a game on 30 flat screens and one panel TV.

Game-day specials • The bar will offer food and drink specials. There also will be a raffle for lawn chairs, a football-themed rug and other prizes.
