Police are looking for the man who robbed a Burger King at gunpoint on Tuesday by going through the drive-thru.

The man drove up to the Burger King near 3900 W. 4700 South in Taylorsville and placed an order at the drive-thru at 1:56 a.m., said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. But when he pulled up to the window for the food, he had a handgun in his lap.

He threatened the clerk into giving him money, and after the clerk complied, he drove away, Hoyal said.

Police describe the robber as a white male wearing a gray jacket and an orange beanie. The car was an older-model red sedan with chipped paint.

There was another person in the car, but police have no information about the passenger.
