Colin Vock's memorable week on the ice has been recognized.

On Tuesday morning, the 27-year-old Utah Grizzlies forward was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 28-Feb. 3. Vock netted six of Utah's eight goals last week, helping the Grizzlies to a 1-0-1 record in a pair of games at Ontario, Calif.

In Utah's 6-5 shootout loss Friday night to the Reign, Vock scored three goals, including two on a power play. He added another hat trick in Utah's 3-0 bounce-back win over Ontario Saturday, scoring the eventual game-winner and adding another power-play goal.

The Utah forward also has a chance to match history this week.

Vock will aim to be just the fifth player in ECHL history — and the first since Steve Gibson in 1997 — to score three goals in three consecutive games when the Grizzlies visit Idaho on Wednesday.

A native of Detroit, Mich., Vock has tallied 31 points (17 goals, 14 assists) in 40 games this season, and leads the Grizzlies with 17 goals and a +13 rating.

In 101 career ECHL games with Utah and Gwinnett. Vock has tallied 63 points (31 goals and 32 assists).

In a statement release from the ECHL, a case of hockey pucks will be donated to a Utah youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL, on behalf of Vock.
