Information about the law surrounding citizen vs. government property disputes is now just a click away.
The state unveiled its revamped website for the Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman, an agency devoted to educating citizens about their private property rights, such as land-use questions, development issues and eminent domain claims.
"The updated Ombudsman's website now connects citizens with more user-friendly information on property issues than ever before," Francine Giani, director of the Utah Department of Commerce, said in a news release.
The website features a searchable database of opinions, a topical guide of property rights laws and a mobile version. More information is available at at www.propertyrights.utah.gov.
