On the first anniversary of the passing of my husband, I feel compelled to remind everyone to become an organ donor. No matter how badly you feel about your health, there is something that can be used.
Frank's diabetes affected his entire body. As an organ donor, he often said, "If they can find anything to use, let them have it."
We were surprised to learn that parts of his eyes were viable, and because of them two people were able to have sight again. What a joy in a time of tragedy.
So everyone: In toughest times, it is a glorious thing to give to someone in need.
