Georgia Dabritz continues to reel in the accolades.
The Utah sophomore gymnast was voted the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week Tuesday afternoon after scoring a 9.90 on beam and a 9.975 on floor to win both events in Utah's win over No. 23 California last Saturday.
Both scores were career highs for Dabritz, who leads Utah in victories with nine.
The honor marks the second Pac-12 accolade this season for the Newburyport, Mass., native, who was named Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 22. It is Utah's third Pac-12 Specialist of the Week award of 2013 and its second in a row after sophomore Tory Wilson won it on Jan. 19 and again on Feb. 5.
Wilson was nominated, but did not win Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week after scoring a 10.0 on vault and winning the all-around on her first career attempt last Saturday.
Dabritz' Pac-12 award marks the first time a Utah gymnast won the weekly specialist honor on an event other than the vault. The Utes now have six total Pac-12 Specialist of the Week awards in their two years in the conference five coming on vault and the other by Dabritz on beam and floor.
