No one was injured Sunday afternoon after a two-alarm garage fire broke out in Taylorsville.

A passerby spotted smoke and flames coming out of a garage ,4878 S. Hidden Cove Drive (1080 West), at about 3 p.m., Unified Fire Capt. Clint Mecham said.

When firefighters arrived they briefly classified the blaze as second-alarm out of fear the fire would spread to the attached home, authorities said. The house likely only suffered smoke and water damage, Mecham said.

No damage estimate or cause were immediately available. No one was home at the time.
