Thank you, NBC News, for several recent reports on air pollution in the Salt Lake Valley, most recently last Sunday morning. Thank you for the graphic scenes of our landmark structures and mountains shrouded in pollution. Thank you for interviews with local sufferers.
Hopefully, some CEOs considering relocating here, thanks to Utah's generous tax breaks and our persuasive "pro-business climate," will now also take note of our air-pollution crisis. When they see the unhealthy environment in which we live, maybe they'll turn away from our state and local government-funded growth promotions.
Then maybe, just maybe, our government officials will wake up and smell the smog.
