Officials behind the 21st annual Downtown Farmers Market and Art & Craft Market are currently seeking applications from vendors for the upcoming summer season.

Applications will be accepted until April 8 for farmers, art and craft vendors, non-profits and musicians. The 2013 Downtown Farmers Market will be open June 8 - October 19, in Pioneer Park. The Harvest Market will be open Tuesday evenings Aug. 6 through Oct. 22 for growers only. Reserved space fees are $225 for the full season on Saturdays and $100 for Tuesdays. Market applications are being accepted now, details below. Additional information, as well as the applications, can be found at www.slcfarmersmarket.org Farmers Market Specific:· Applications will be accepted through April 8· Farmers and food vendors may apply in this category· All vendors must grow or produce items they will sell at the Market· Farmers must be located within 250 miles of Salt Lake City· Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to reach a local market Art and Craft Market Specific:· Applications will be accepted through April 8· Applicants will be juried on April 12· The Art & Craft Market accepts full and part time participation· The Downtown Art & Craft Market only accepts arts and crafts that are created by artists in Utah Non-Profit Specific:· Applications will be available at slcfarmersmarket.org until the schedule is filled· Non-Profit organizations may request up to four Market days throughout the season· No more than nine non-profit organizations will be invited to participate each week Music Specific:· Applications will be available at slcfarmersmarket.org until the schedule is filled· Amplification is approved for this venue but will not be provided by the Farmers Market· Only groups of two or more will be considered The press release said, "Music is a valued part of the Market, with a combination of featured bands and impromptu street performers (Buskers) adding to the festive atmosphere.
