Recalls for 2009-2013 Toyota models

The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. For more information about the products, call the manufacturer or CPSC's toll-free hotline, 800-638-2772. Only some cars or trucks recalled are affected. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.

Vehicles • 2009-2012 Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Prius and RAV4; 2009-2010 Avalon, FJ Cruiser and Highlander Hybrid; 2010-2013 Corolla, Sienna and Tundra; 2009-2013 Highlander and Venza; 2012 Prius V and 2010-2012 Sequoia

Problem • During modification by Southeast Toyota to include accessories such as leather seat covers, seat heaters or headrest DVD systems, these vehicles may not have had proper testing of the passenger seat occupant-sensing system. Without passing the calibration test, the system may not operate as designed. Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will test the ensors, and recalibrate them as necessary. Southeast Toyota distributes automobiles to 173 dealerships in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North and South Carolina. Owners may contact Southeast Toyota at 800-301-6859.
