In "No gay Boy Scouts" (Forum, Feb. 7), Jim Green is upset that the "gay lobby" is trying to reduce donations to the Boy Scouts of America.
For most of my life, I lived in Salt Lake County, and I always supported the Boy Scouts. Nevertheless, I feel all boys should have the same opportunities that Scouting provides.
I stopped donating to the Boy Scouts of America when I realized that gays were banned from being members or leaders. I did this not because of any "gay lobby" but because I believe all our children should be treated equally. Gay children are also children of God.
