Utah Bureau of Land Management officials are looking for volunteers for the annual Raptor Inventory Nest Survey in northern Utah.

Participants do not need a background in science or even birding. All that is required is attendance in a training session. The training involves map reading, navigation by GPS and field safety procedures. Suggested items for volunteers include binoculars, GPS unit and an email address.

Trainings are scheduled for the next two Saturdays, Feb. 23 and March 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (including lunch) at the Salt Lake Field Office, in West Valley City.
