Information on the water system • The city will hold open houses to take comments from residents on PCE (perchloroethylene) and the water system 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12. Celebrate reading • The Davis School District is inviting the community to join in a one-day Read-A-Thon on Friday, March 1. Participants are encouraged to read for one hour that day and report the number of pages read by emailing Davis Reads Chair Belinda Kuck at bkuck@dsdmail.net. Last year's total was nearly 4.2 million pages.

Bird festival • Online registration for field trips at the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival begins Friday, March 1, at http://bit.ly/OnvcS.
