Hibernian Society of Utah sponsoring night of Irish poetry & music

The Hibernian Society of Utah (who are behind the annual St. Patrick's Day parade) will celebrate 35 years of Irish heritage, culture, history and traditions with A Night With the Irish Poets on Saturday, March 2, at St. Mark's Cathedral Social Hall.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the reading begins at 7 p.m.The entrance is at the north ground floor door.

This year they are focusing on the lesser-known works of William Butler Yeats and humor in Irish poetry.

The event is free to the public although they do ask for a donation of food for the food pantry at St. Mark's.

The American Irish Duo will play Irish tunes for the evening and The King's English Bookstore will have an array of Irish literature for sale.
