Roy police have arrested and were investigating a man they suspect preyed on girls over the Internet.

The 27-year-old man posed as a teenager on Meetme.com to contact girls, according to the police news release. The man, who is enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and is stationed in Hawaii, was back in Utah to visit family this month when someone reported him as a suspicious person, the release adds.

Officers responded to the call and police say they found that the man was sexually involved with a girl living in Roy. Investigators also believe there may be other victims in Roy, as well as Salt Lake City.

The man was booked into Weber County Jail on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse, which is a felony, and enticing a minor on the Internet, a misdemeanor. He could face more charges as investigators continue to look into his online activity.
