Milwaukee • Point guard Jamaal Tinsley was excused from the Jazz Monday morning and will not play against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a family matter.

The veteran traveled to Milwaukee, the first stop on a four-game road trip, but was excused prior to Monday's shoot around. He is expected rejoin the team in Cleveland prior to Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.

The 35-year-old Tinsley has appeared in 50 games for the Jazz, 32 of them starts, and averages 3.8 points and 5 assists. He was replaced in the starting lineup on Feb. 25 against the Boston Celtics, and has appeared in just one of the three games since then, a 98-68 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.
