$9.75 • The Godfather

The "it" drink in the Bistro upstairs tends to be the Bloody Mary, colorfully adorned in pico de gallo and wedges of lemon and lime. But downstairs in the Speakeasy it's The Godfather, made with a shot and a half of 12-year-old Macallan scotch, poured into a lovingly chilled glass and followed by a "quick pour," or splash, of amaretto. The barkeep finishes it by rubbing an orange peel around the rim of the glass and then dropping it into the drink — adding aesthetics to the mostly brown pool of liquid goodness.
