A Lego store is set to open this fall at Fashion Place Mall in Murray.

A spokesperson for the Lego Group this week confirmed the location but declined to provide further details.

The 3,000-square-foot store will open in the fall, between Macy's and Crate & Barrel, said Natalie Watson, senior marketing manager for Fashion Place Mall.

"We are excited about this unique store coming to Utah," she said. "We will partner with Legos for a wonderful grand opening."

Legos are a popular line of construction toys manufactured by The Lego Group, a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark.

The Murray location will be Lego's first in Utah.

The company plans three other U.S. openings this year: Danbury, Conn.; San Antonio, Texas; and Des Peres, Mo.

Lego products are sold in more than 130 countries.

The Lego Group, with approximately 10,000 employees, says it is the world's third-largest manufacturer of play materials.

The company is still owned by the family of Kirk Kristiansen, who founded it in 1932.
