Spectrum Engineers, Salt Lake City, has announced that Matthew Tibbs has joined the firm as a principal mechanical engineer. He has more than two decades of experience in areas that include consulting, design and the engineering of municipal and industrial projects. Also, company controller Eric Wright has been named the National Association of Credit Management's 2013 Excellence Award winner. This honor will be presented in April at the annual stockholders meeting and dinner.

Kimpton's Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City has promoted Blake Sarlo to director of sales and marketing. He joined the hotel as a sales manager in 2009.

Central Life Sciences announced that Blaine Oakeson has joined its Zoëcon Professional Products division as west central region manager. Oakeson, a Salt Lake City resident, will be responsible for the vector and pest control operator markets in Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Nebraska.

Strong & Hanni, Salt Lake City, has named Jeremy G. Knight and Sadé A. Turner shareholders of the law firm. Knight represents clients in general litigation, transportation, automobile and premises liability. Turner represents clients in transportation, premises, construction, insurance defense and commercial litigation.

Ron Barness has joined Meridian Solar of Austin, Texas, as vice president of business development for Utah and the Intermountain West.

Fabian, Attorneys at Law in Salt Lake City has announced that Sara M. Montoya has joined the firm as an associate. She is focusing on litigation. Prior to joining Fabian, she clerked at the U.S. Attorney's Office, the University of Utah Office of General Counsel and at a private firm.

EcoScraps, a Provo-based provider of organic, chemical- and manure-free lawn and garden products, announced veteran financial executive Ron Ross has been named the company's chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Also, Amy Yoder, the business unit head of Arysta LifeScience North America and an industry expert, has joined its board of directors.

The Salt Lake City-based engineering firm Forsgren Associates has announced that Craig Rasmussen and Kyle Dana have joined its civil engineering team and established an office in Logan. Rasmussen joined the firm with more than 16 years of engineering experience. Dana has more than 15 years of professional engineering experience.

Alex Dunn has been promoted to president of Vivint, a Provo-based home automation services company. In this new role, he will oversee the strategic direction of the company and manage Vivint's revenue growth and expansion.
