Skiing • Lindsey Vonn had the weather on her side this time when it came to deciding a World Cup title.

Fog canceled racing in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, on Wednesday, giving the injured Vonn, a part-time Park City resident, a record sixth straight World Cup downhill title without having to show up.

U.S. women beat Germany for title

soccer • The United States women's team won the final of the Algarve Cup at Faro, Portugal.

Alex Morgan scored twice in the first half, and the U.S. defeated Germany 2-0 Wednesday night.
