Here's what's happening today in pop culture:
• After fans raised $2 million in 11 hours on Kickstarter, a "Veronica Mars" movie is going to happen. Filming starts this summer (after star Kristen Bell has her baby), for a 2014 release. [Entertainment Weekly]
• Looks like NBC's Broadway-musical drama "Smash" is entering the slow death march. First step: It's being moved to a Saturday time slot. [The Hollywood Reporter]
• Also moving to weekends: MSNBC's Ed Schultz, whose "The Ed Show" will leave its five-night-a-week time slot for an evening shift on Saturdays and Sundays. Reportedly, Chris Hayes (who now has a two-hour morning show on weekends) will take over Schultz's old time slot. [The Huffington Post, The New York Times]
