DVD • It's always best to have low expectations if a show is on the Syfy Channel, but "Continuum" has one thing going for it — it's a Canadian import. And like "Lost Girl," this Canadian import is a cut above what Syfy produces for itself.

The series begins in the year 2077, when giant corporations have replaced governments. A group of anti-corporation terrorists is about to be executed, but they jump back in time to the present day — and policewoman of the future, Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols), jumps back with them.

With help from present-day cop Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster) and teenage genius Alec Sadler (Eric Knudsen), Keira sets out to make things right. "Continuum" isn't a great show, but it's a pretty good one. —
