Your town in brief: Suicide prevention and AMBER alert donation in Davis County

Suicide awareness • The city and its police department are partnering with NUHOPE, a group of medical and behavioral health professionals, to educate the community about suicide prevention. A presentation on identifying risk factors will be given at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Syracuse High School, 665 S. 2000 West.

Davis County

Help for kids • The Davis Chamber of Commerce Women in Business last week donated $16,500 for Utah's AMBER Alert program, which sends out urgent bulletins in child-abduction cases. The Utah Attorney General's Office said the donation is the largest ever given to the program, which does not get tax dollars.

Find those eggs • The Youth City Council is holding its annual Easter egg hunt at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Cherry Farms Park, 7944 S. 2100 East. The event is free.
