Mountaineer Conrad Anker is best known for discovering the long-lost body of George Mallory on Mount Everest in 1999. Anker, a University of Utah graduate living in Montana, will talk about that discovery and more during a benefit for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition Thursday in Salt Lake City.
Anker's presentation "Seeing Climate Change From Mt. Everest to Yellowstone," will start 7 p.m. at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 1410 Campus Center Drive, on the University of Utah campus.
Admission is $10 with proceeds benefitting the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, a nonprofit group focused on serving as an advocate for the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, a 20-million-acre area surrounding Yellowstone National Park.
