Gun corrosion

The Utah Legislature has adjourned and we citizens are safe for another year.

Gun advocates received more than their share of legislation. I am a gun advocate; my 12 gauge is next to my bed.

Clean-air legislation did not receive the attention it deserved. I am concerned that the horrible, stinking, foul air that we are all forced to breath is corroding my rifles, pistols and shotguns.

It is well known that polluted air will cause corrosion to metal components of guns. Without proper and constant maintenance, Utah's air pollution will render my weapons useless, along with my lungs, heart and other vital organs.

Perhaps now is the time for the governor, the Legislature, gun advocates and clean-air advocates to come together and work on legislation that will benefit all and resolve our pollution issues. This group could be called Guns and Lungs.
