Calling Mike Lee

I called Sen. Mike Lee's office to indicate my support of universal background checks for gun purchases. One of Lee's staff indicated to me that Utah's junior senator opposed this bill.

The staffer indicated that "liberal biased" polls showing the vast majority of Utahns support this legislation were inaccurate; instead, for a more accurate reading of the people's will, the senator relied on the Utah Legislature, which clearly opposes this legislation.

The staffer also indicated that not many Utah citizens had offered an opinion on this legislation. Of those who had, the vast majority opposed the legislation.

Let Lee know your opinion (Salt Lake: 801-524-5933; D.C.: 202-224-5444; email at: www.lee.senate.gov).
