Healthy living • The annual Shape Up Sandy program, designed to motivate families to get in shape and eat healthier, begins Monday, April 1. The free 10-week program includes organized walks, health lessons and age-appropriate challenges. A weigh-in is optional. To register, go in person to Alta Canyon Sports Center, 9565 S. South Jordan

Easter fun • An Easter egg hunt and candy scramble will be held on Saturday, March 30, at City Park, 11010 S. Redwood Road. The Easter Bunny arrives at 9:30 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10 a.m. sharp. There will be six hunt areas for different age groups and a separate special needs area. Bring your own basket and don't forget a camera.

Waterworks • A free sprinkler workshop will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the South Jordan Public Works Building, 10996 S. Redwood Road. Learn how to start up and repair your sprinkler system, conserve water and comply with backflow prevention requirements.
