Northern Utah's mid-week forecast calls for partly cloudy skies that will threaten, and occasionally deliver fresh rainfall — but authentic spring temperatures also are on the way.

Highs along the Wasatch Front Wednesday will range into the mid-60s, up a few degrees from Tuesday's forecast, with overnight lows in the upper-30s to low-40s.

Southern Utahns look for highs in the mid- to upper-70s under gusty, partly cloudy skies. No appreciable precipitation is expected in Utah's Dixie, however.

The Utah Division of Air Quality declared the entire state in the "Green," or healthy breathability realm going into the mid-week.

The Utah Avalanche Center rated the mountains of Moab in the "low" risk category for potentially deadly snow slides, but the rest of the state's mountain backcountry earned "moderate" risk grades.

Salt Lake City's high Wednesday was pegged at 65 degrees, up from Tuesday's 60-degree forecast; Ogden looked for 62 and 57 degrees, respectively; Provo 68 and 62; Logan 54 and 51; Wendover 61 and 56; Duchesne 59 and 53; Cedar City 66 degrees both days; St. George 79 and 78; and Moab 71 and 62 degrees.
