Roping, riding and wrestling — steer wrestling — return to EnergySolutions Arena, which will host The Days of '47 Rodeo this summer.

More than $200,000 in prize money will be at stake as the five-day event, which begins July 19, is expected to attract some of the best professional cowboys, including a handful of Utahns.

Events are scheduled for July 19-20 and 22-24. All performances start at 6:30 p.m.

"Historically, downtown Salt Lake City has been the location of The Days of '47 Rodeo, and we appreciate the opportunity to host it once again," said Steve Miller, chief operating officer of Miller Sports Properties. "Holding one of the country's top-ranked rodeos in our arena further solidifies our commitment to this city and proves the importance of sport as quality entertainment in our community."

Events include bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling and tie-down roping. Among the Utahns expected to compete are 2007 world bull riding champion Wesley Cox and Cody Wright, the 2008 and 2010 world saddle bronc riding champion.
