Utah's climatological path to the Easter weekend will be caressed by warm breezes and the occasional kiss of raindrops.

The Wasatch Front looked for highs in the upper-60s on Good Friday, reflecting Thursday's equally springtime forecast. Overnight lows were to be in the 40s. There was a 20 percent chance of rain showers — punctuated by thunder in places — during the afternoons and evenings both days.

Southern Utahns expected high temperatures in the upper-70s under mostly clear skies Friday, mirroring Thursday's weather. Overnight lows in the 50s were predicted.

Late-season skiers, snowboarders and snowmobilers faced "moderate" risks for dangerous snow slides in the mountain backcountry throughout the state, with the exception of southeastern Utah's Moab area, according to the Utah Avalanche Center.

The Utah Division of Air Quality provided another incentive to take a hike, a bike ride or run outside: Air quality statewide was graded "Green," or healthy, into the holiday weekend.

Salt Lake City's high Friday was pegged at 68, up a degree from Thursday's forecast; Ogden expected 65-degree readings both days; Provo 70 and 68, respectively; Logan 60 and 62; Wendover 63s; Duchesne 65s; Cedar City 69 and 67; St. George 80 and 79; and Moab 75 and 73 degrees.
