An exploratory committee is thinking about the possibility of Salt Lake hosting the Winter Olympics again in 2026. This is a great idea.

It may not be as expensive as the Games in 2002 because we already have the facilities.

These games benefited the state's economy. According to Lane Beattie of the Salt Lake Chamber, the 2002 Olympics boosted the Utah's economy by $4.8 billion. It also gave 35,000 years of employment to Utah citizens.

People saw how much of a success the 2002 Olympics were. Who doesn't love the Olympics?

Having them again would be really cool for those too young to remember the 2002 games.
