Easter weekend is the only time of the year when you want to put all your eggs in a basket, especially if you're a Utah kid unleashed in Saturday's glowing spring to find hidden orb-shaped goodies.

Along the Wasatch Front, high temperatures Saturday will range into the upper-60s under skies laced with dueling clouds and sunshine, a forecast the National Weather Service says will repeat on Easter Sunday — with a slight chance of thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.

In southern Utah, thermometers will rise to near 80 degrees both days, again with a chance of rainfall Sunday afternoon.

If you plan a spring break trip to the ski slopes, though, keep in mind that the Utah Avalanche Center has rated the mountain backcountry at "moderate" risk for dangerous snow slides throughout the weekend.

The Utah Division of Air Quality was flying its "Green," or healthy air quality banners statewide through Sunday.

Salt Lake City's high Saturday was predicted to reach 67 degrees Saturday, down a degree from Friday's forecast high; Ogden looked for a 65-degree reading, down from Friday's 66; Provo expected 70s both days; Logan 59 and 62; Wendover 64 and 63; Duchesne 65 and 66; Cedar City 67 and 69; St. George 78 and 80; and Moab 73 degrees both days.
