Less than a day after a Provo teen drove his SUV through a home, an Orem woman plowed her own SUV into a Subway restaurant.

The Orem accident happened Friday about 9 p.m. at 1416 North State, according to Orem Sgt. Craig Martinez. The 59-year-old woman and her daughter had planned on eating at the Subway but ended up driving through the front wall when the woman accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake. According to Martinez, the woman and her daughter were having a conversation when the accident occurred.

Martinez said no one was injured in the accident. The woman was not impaired and police did not issue any citations.

Police did not know the extent of the damage Saturday.

The accident bookended a day that begin with a similar accident. In that case, a teenager on his way to school drove an SUV through a home near BYU at 7:40 a.m. That accident also didn't produce injuries.
