An Easter Day fire burned through a Salt Lake City home Sunday.

Fire department spokesman Jasen Asay said it appeared a pile of debris outside the home near 800 South and 800 West caught fire about 2:30 p.m.

The fire quickly spread to the home's wall and then into the attic, he said.

Firefighters found smoke and flames when they arrived, he said. They had the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

No one was home at the time, and no one was injured.

Asay said fire investigators were headed to the scene to determine what caused the debris to ignite and determine the extent of the damage.
