Re "Is gas tax hike in Utah's future? Study says it should be" (Tribune, March 20):

Instead of raising gas taxes, why not require people to license their bicycles? Since bicyclists do not pay any gas tax, they do not help pay the cost of striping and maintaining the roads they use, as motorists do.
