Utah's newest brewery, Bonneville Brewery, just opened in Tooele.
Owner Brad Shepherd purchased and remodeled the former Tracks Brewing Co. and is currently offering eight craft beers with names like Landspeed Lager and Antelope Amber Ale. The brews have already been on tap at All Star Bowling locations which Shepherd also owns in Tooele, West Jordan and Sandy. Bonneville Brewery may make beer, but it is family-friendly from the patio guests can see the salt flats and the speedwayand offers a menu of mostly hamburgers with some pasta, fish and chicken dishes. A 21-and-older bar is upstairs.
One of the specialities is "The Blamb burger," made with a 50-50 mix of ground beef and ground lamb, topped with cucumber yogurt dressing served on a toasted preztel bun.
"It's pub food but it's definitely a more gourmet quality," said general manager Brandon Crosby.
The executive chef is Joe Davis, who attended the California Culinary Academy and has worked at Snowbird's Aerie Restaurant and Fresco Italian Cafe in Salt Lake City and Canyon Market & Grill in Ogden.
Bonneville Brewery's grand opening will be Friday, April 26.
