A 3-year-old Farr West girl was in critical condition Friday, the day after she was injured in a freak swing set accident.

Weber County sheriff's Lt. Mark Lowther said the girl's father found her with her neck tangled in a rope on the backyard swing set about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Lowther said the girl is believed to have been on the swing set less than five minutes. She was playing alone.

"Our deputies and paramedics performed CPR and were able to get a pulse before she was [flown] to flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City," Lowther said.
