Two people are in critical condition Friday following a four-vehicle accident in Riverton.

A SUV was going south on Bangerter Parkway (150 East) when it rear-ended a Honda Civic stopped at the intersection at 12600 South, at about 11:50 a.m. The collision flipped the Honda onto its roof and forced it into another SUV and a minivan that were also stopped at the light, said Unified Police Lt. Ken Hansen.

Two people in the Honda were taken to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition. The eight other people involved in the crash didn't have injuries significant enough to require a trip to the hospital, Hansen said.

No citations were issued at the scene, and UPD is still investigating the crash.
