Ogden police looking for hard-hat-wearing robber

Police say a masked man with a rifle, long coat and a hard hat robbed a credit union in Ogden over the weekend and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery occurred on Saturday just before 1 p.m. at the Wasatch Peaks Credit Union, 3012 S. 1900 West.

Police described the suspect as a white man with a long blue coat, blue jeans, a black mask and a yellow hard hat. He is approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall and 180 pounds.

Ogden police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are jointly investigating the robbery. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the FBI at 801-395-2004.
